BA RIA – VUNG TAU On the land of nearly 1,000 m2, Ngoc Bich and her husband built a small wooden house and planted 50 roses to give to their daughter.

Due to the influence of Covid-19, last year, the wedding business of husband and wife Nguyen Nam and Ms. Ngoc Bich were severely affected. During the leisure break, the couple came up with the idea of building a house in the rose garden.

“My husband and I both love roses. The idea of making a bungalow in the flower garden stimulates the two of us, so we immediately deploy,” said Mr. Nam, 36 years old.

The couple made wedding decorations so they took advantage of the available materials, repainted the old tiles and bought some pine wood for the wall. From March 2020, Mr. Nam and another worker started to build a house, build a wooden gate, pave the way to the garden, and plant grass.

The young father even went to pick up rocks to build a small lake in front of his house. The stream was murmuring with rose bushes around, he had an idea and done it in about a dozen days.

This land was originally left by your parents who went abroad. There were already a few flower bushes on it. They bought 50 more mature persimmons, mainly persimmons and Sapa persimmons for year round, less pests and diseases.

After nearly 3 months, the dream homestay is also completed, with a total cost of over 100 million VND.

At this time, the flowers are also enlarged and in full bloom. “Since August last year, the garden has begun to cover flowers, very beautiful”, Ms. Bich said.

They use microbiological fertilizers to nurture the rose garden and every batch of flowers are pruned to make the flowers bloom simultaneously. Depending on the weather, on average 45 days the garden blooms a batch.

Ngoc Bich said that what she was most satisfied with was the last Tet holiday, the garden bursting together with millions of flowers, giving the feeling of being in a strange place.

“In the early morning, my wife and I get up to watch the dawn, sip a morning cup of coffee. Dew and morning sun cover the rose garden with a clear beauty. Late afternoon, the red sun across the corner of the garden, the wind gently blew the garden become sparkling. Many nights at midnight, the couple even went to the garden to enjoy flowers “, Ms. Bich shared.

On her 2-year-old daughter’s birthday, the couple held a garden party, with friends and relatives gathered for tea, watching flowers. During the ceremony, they give a rose garden to their little girl, hoping that “the garden will raise your child’s footsteps”.

Their daughters love to water, weeding with their mother. When the flowers are beautiful, she asks her mother to take pictures and likes to play in the garden more than going to the play area.

The whole family wants a “traveling like” life. From the day they had the garden, they lived as they wished. “The pandemic caused my husband and I to lose income, but there was also something good. In the middle of the mess outside, when we went back to the garden and saw our children running and jumping, we seemed to slow down,” the couple confided.
