On New Year’s Eve 2021, Ho Chi Minh City fired high altitude fireworks in the tunnel crossing the Saigon River (District 2), Landmark 81 building (Binh Thanh District) and two low-level points in Dam Sen Park (District 11) and Public Park Ho Chi Minh City High Tech (District 9) to celebrate the establishment of Thu Duc City. All four firing points will have 2,300 high-altitude cannons and more than 6,000 low-range cannons and firebending will explode in the sky.
On the morning of December 31, at the tunnel park across the Saigon River, 1,500 high-altitude cannons and 30 low-range artillery guns were brought out from yesterday to set up “battlefield”. This is the area to gather the most fireworks trusses of the city.

“The connection is quite simple, but meticulous is needed. The exact connection wire makes the firecrackers more synchronous,” said Major Nguyen Thanh Binh (technical officer, Ho Chi Minh City Command).
Each cannon has a different shape to create the effect of color, range. A high-altitude rig can shoot up to more than 200 meters.

Right on the banks of the Saigon River, Lieutenant Nguyen Van Phien installed low-level fireworks. This cannon can shoot up to about 70 m altitude.
The firing points will be in the roof of the Thu Thiem tunnel all connected to the control center, which will fire fireworks at 0:00 on January 1.

This year, Ho Chi Minh City added a low-level fireworks display in District 9 to celebrate the establishment of Thu Duc City approved by the National Assembly Standing Committee. The site of the artillery battle installation took place at the Ben Noc memorial temple, next to the High-Tech Park.
Here, 90 low-level fireworks and 10 firebending systems were basically installed in the morning.
