On the afternoon of the 30th of Tet, the people of Hanoi still keep the habit of waiting in line to buy ice cream on Trang Tien street. Meanwhile, the few cafes still open around the old town are always crowded with customers coming to enjoy the late afternoon atmosphere.

Different from streets far from the center, on the afternoon of the 30th Tet in the central streets of Hanoi such as the old town area, around the banks of Hoan Kiem lake, it is crowded with tourists, taking pictures. 

Around Hoan Kiem Lake, even a lot of motorbikes and cars were parked right under the Dinh Tien Hoang street to take pictures, causing traffic congestion.

On Trang Tien Street, in front of the traditional Trang Tien ice cream shop, is a class of people who come in line to buy ice cream. Going to the lake to play then eating Trang Tien ice cream has been a habit of Hanoians for decades. 

On the afternoon of the 30th of Tet this year, although the COVID-19 translation is raging, long lines of people still wear masks, waiting to buy an ice cream.

Coffee shops have also recorded a record crowd in the afternoon of the 30th Tet in Hanoi. 

All the major cafes open around Phan Dinh Phung, Cua Dong, Nha Tho, around the Hoan Kiem lake … are crowded. 

Many shops do not have room for parking customers because of overload.

This year, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, many of the capital’s residents are unable to travel or return to their homeland but stay in the city. Therefore, the demand for eating and drinking has increased despite the complicated epidemic.
