About Ong Bon Soc Trang pagoda
Ong Bon Pagoda is also known as Hoa An Hoi Quan, this ancient architecture was born nearly 150 years ago. The pagoda is located at 09, Nguyen Van Troi street, ward 1, Soc Trang city. After 6 times of remodeling, the appearance is more spacious, but the ancient architecture is still intact. In 2004, this place was recognized as a provincial cultural, artistic and architectural relic. The site is of great importance and should be preserved, not just for the Chinese people here.

Ong Bon Soc Trang pagoda is a famous temple built by the Chinese in the southwestern region. The whole is built in the shape of “Phu” according to Chinese Chinese statues for a complete wealth. Explore unique architecture
The temple has very good feng shui with the south facing front to welcome the cool breeze. Above the two-sided wall, there is the Chinese word “Tăng Phước” embossed with the meaning of giving many blessings to the people, looking very prominent. Right on the right side of the pagoda, there is a shrine to worship Tho Dia, bold Chinese color, a cultural feature as well as a sculptural architecture with high artistic values.

Meticulously designed, Ong Bon Soc Trang Pagoda is made entirely of stone and wood with typical yin and yang roofing. Especially the three steps, the column legs are all handcrafted by stone. At the top of the top, you will see an eye-catching colored ceramic glazed ceramic moon. The rows of red lanterns are hanging everywhere, the non-coupling panels, the red turrets written in Chinese characters, … are clad in the poles from electricity bills to the main hall, making you overwhelmed.

Going inside right in the sky well area of the pagoda has a large incense peak, where both light and smoke help escape. One side worships Bach Ho, the other worships Thanh Long with the intention of chasing away the evil spirit. Next is the main hall area with 3 spacious worshiping rooms, the middle one worships Thank Thien Dai De – Trinh An to express gratitude for his great work for the Chinese. The two sides are Phuc Duc Chinh Than and Thien Hau Thanh Mau respectively.
