Ong De ecological resort is about 11km from the center of Can Tho city. Ong De tourist area has two entrances. If you wrap the extended Nguyen Van Cu street, you will go faster. But if you go to An Binh market through Cai Rang floating market, it will be more convenient to visit other areas.

History of Ong De eco-tourism area
Ong De My Khanh Phong Dien Can Tho tourist village opened in 2018.
Why is there the name Ong De tourist village?
In 1845, Mr. De and his wife went south to this land of My Khanh – Phong Dien. The couple is happy because they have found a prosperous land to settle down. Mr. De and Mrs. De reclaimed the land together. Fruit trees began to flourish in the fertile land. Seeing that, many people also gathered here to reclaim and trade. Since then, more villages and markets have opened up.
Mr and Mrs De always help their neighbors. When people come to the land, they feel surrounded by each other. Everyone is grateful for the merits of the two.
In 1896 Mr. De died at the age of 69. A year later, because of grief, Mrs. De also passed away at the age of 66. At that time, the whole village was very sad. In memory of Ong De, the whole village named after him the village’s canal. From there, Ong De canal was born.
Later, the owner of the resort Ong De also named him in memory of him. Hope to build a sustainable development community in Ong De canal and Can Tho tourism service.
