History of formation and development is full of fluctuations 

Phap Hoa Dak Nong Pagoda was first built in 1959 with the name at that time as the Buddhist Temple. However, shortly after construction, in the same year, on the occasion of the Vu Lan festival, the pagoda of Ngo Dinh Diem government devastated heavily in the persecution of Buddhists who were attending the temple, causing this place to be devastated very heavy.

In 1960, Phap Hoa pagoda was rebuilt by Master Tri Huy with a very primitive architecture, the roof was roofed with corrugated iron and was still named Recited Buddha Street, Quang Duc, which was taken after the name of Quang Duc province at that time. In 1969, Dai Duc Hoa Nghiem returned to the pagoda and renamed it Phap Hoa pagoda until today.

After 1975, when Dai Duc Hoa Nghiem returned to his hometown, there was no abbot. However, people around the area often come back and forth to look after and chant prayers and worship. Located in 2000, the pagoda has a new abbot, Dai Duc Thich Quang Hien, who together with local Buddhists rebuild the temple to have a spacious appearance as the present.
