Red carp from provinces like Phu Tho, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh … are transported here, then distributed to big and small markets in Hanoi. At So Thuong fish market, there are 2 types of carp sold mainly in Mr. Cong Ong Tao ceremony, namely red and yellow carp.

According to a seller at the market, this year the amount of carp sold is more than last year, the wholesale price for yellow oranges fluctuates from 60,000 to 700,000 VND / kg; Red fish is about 80,000-100,000 VND / kg

Standard carp must be strong swimmers, with beautiful colors, without scratches on their scales.

Small and medium fish are often preferred by small traders because they are easier to sell. Compared with yellow carp, red carp is more chosen by many people because of its strong and bright color.

Small traders constantly have to check and check fish pots, if detecting any weak or dead fish, they will immediately go out.

According to the small trader here, the price this year is higher than the previous year.

All vans carrying carp as soon as they arrived at the market were immediately imported by small traders. During the peak days of Mr. Cong Ong Tao’s ceremony, the amount of fish imported by small traders can be up to a few quintals of fish a day.
