2. Bo Cung Cave (Quan Son)

  • Address: Chanh village, Son Thuy, Quan Son, Thanh Hoa.

Bo Cung Cave, also known as Mo Tom in Thai, is located on Pha Dua mountain. Nearly 1km long, has a magnificent stalactite system and the wild beauty of the mountain forest. Steps have been built for convenient movement in the cave. The cave is about 800m long, divided into 4 large chambers, each chamber is connected by winding paths, penetrating deep into the rocky mountain with a width of 20-50m.

3. Modal Verbs (Nga Son)

Tu Thuc Cave or Bich Dao Cave is a National Scenic Monument located in the Tam Diep region, between Kim Son district (Ninh Binh) and Nga Son district (Thanh Hoa). This is where the romantic story between Tu Thuc and the fairy Giang Huong takes place, related to the Tran and Le dynasties of our country. The cave is located in the heart of a mountain in the Tam Diep range. In front of the cave entrance, there are two poems carved on stone slabs by Lords Trinh Sam and Le Quy Don.

4. Ma Cave (Quan Hoa)

About 500 years ago, this cave in Thanh Hoa was called Tieu Hau, from the story of a Tieu Hau couple from Chieng Ca Da who lived in the cave and named it. Tung Hoa post of Quan Da camp during the Ming invasion period was their important base. King Bao Dai also visited and inscribed the sign “Hang Phi Temple” in 1942, to commemorate the sacrifices of heroic martyrs.

6. Con Moong Cave (Thach Thanh)

7. Cay Dang Cave (Cam Thuy)

8. Ho Cong Cave

  • Address: Ninh Khang commune, Vinh Loc, Thanh Hoa.

Ho Cong cave’s scenic relics include: Ho Cong cave, Xuan Dai mountain, Trac Phong mountain and Du Anh pagoda . To get to  this cave in Thanh Hoa from the city, you can follow Highway 45 west about 40km, cross Kieu bridge to Ninh Khang commune. If you follow National Highway 1A, move to Do Len bridge to Road 217, then turn back through Vinh Loc to reach Kieu town. This relic is more than 17.3 hectares wide, including Ho Cong cave, Xuan Dai mountain, Trac Phong mountain and Du Anh pagoda.

Famous for its impressive landscape and recorded in ancient history books. Ho Cong Cave is shaped like a giant stone gourd located behind Xuan Dai mountain, with a wide open cave door and two stone statues of Ho Cong and Phi Truong Phong. This place also preserves the vestiges of the immortal Ho Cong and is considered the most beautiful of the 36 caves in Vietnam. Poems by famous poets and celebrities are engraved on the cliffs of the cave and outside the cave entrance.

9. Long Quang Cave

Or Dragon Eye Cave, this tourist destination in Thanh Hoa city is located halfway up the mountain, about 100m from National Highway 1A (old). To reach the cave entrance, you will go through 23 stone steps. This is a large space, with a width of about 5m. Long Quang Cave is described as the head of the Ham Rong mountain range, an image of a nine-segmented dragon. Not only does it have fresh, cool air throughout the four seasons, but the cave is also captivating with its beautiful natural creations.
