On the 16-seat car, Mr. Doan Kieu Dung designed a smart bunk bed system, a comfortable kitchen – toilet. He plans to live in a car and travel from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City.
After “transforming” the 16-seat Hyundai Solati car into a “mobile home” (mobihome/motorhome or RV) to take his family to travel everywhere, Hanoi’s father – Doan Kieu Dung continued to spend 1,7 billion VND to “buy” a new “mobile home” with more advanced features.
Dung intends in January 2022 or after the Lunar New Year, will travel with this “mobile home” across Vietnam from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. On the way, Mr. Dung will completely live, live and run his media group right on the car.
“In the past, in Vietnam, people mainly used motorhome to travel. However, I want to try to experience life while working and traveling by motorhome. I can receive guests, pick up friends and partners. even signed important contracts right on this car”, Mr. Dung shared.
Dung’s third “mobile home” was made on a 16-seat Gaz car, imported completely to Vietnam for about 800 million VND. Mr. Dung lowered the car to 6 seats.
The car is painted in two main colors white and red, creating a V-shape at the front of the car, with lazang panels on the wheels, many wide/airy windows. “For motorhome enthusiasts, the Volkswagen T1 is one of the first cars to be converted into a motorhome in the world.
For me, this car line also has many memories, so I want to create a car that “reminisces” about T1 Volkswagen”, Dung said.
With an appearance that reminds others of T1 Volkswagen, Dung named his “mobile home” T – Love. T – Love can also be understood as “True-Love” (true love), expressing the enthusiasm that Hanoi’s father has for the car.
The outside of the car has not only a movable awning (rising) or a rack, but also a “level” speaker system, an outdoor cooker, an electric/water charging system, and a smarter upgraded washing nozzle. .
With experience after many trips from the sea to the mountains, Mr. Dung realized that just a kitchen system in the car is not enough. He incorporated a kitchen system – the sink can be pulled in and out from the body of the car to serve outdoor parties or cook smelly food.
The spray nozzle on the outside of the car was upgraded by Mr. Dung compared to the previous motorhome. The faucet can adjust the pump speed, control the strength, light, and add hot water for convenient use in winter.
The car uses two electrical systems 12V and 220V. Electricity is charged in 3 different ways: From the car engine when the car is running, from solar cells and charging from the grid.
Right at the entrance to the car, Mr. Dung installed an extra door to prevent mosquitoes and insects. Inside the car, there is a kitchen, a toilet, and a multi-function bed system. As for the kitchen, in addition to the kitchen counter, induction hob, and sink like the previous car, Mr. Dung added a gas stove.
“I plan to live in the car for a long time, so refrigerators and washing machines are essential. All wastewater from the washing machine is discharged into the storage bin, not into the environment,” said Mr. Dung.
Compared to the toilet on the Hyundai Solati, the toilet of this Gaz is calculated and designed much more carefully. “Whoever comes to visit the car, I will also proudly introduce them to the toilet”, Mr. Dung humorously shared. “With this toilet, my wife and children can use it as comfortably as at home,” the father affirmed.
Behind the car is the living room combined with the bedroom. When guests come to play “home”, Mr. Dung will push the turntable up. 4-6 guests can sit comfortably around, drinking tea, chatting, and watching the scenery.
When the guests returned, Mr. Dung pushed the table down, fitting the shelves to form a bed. This bed has a size of 1m8x1m7, enough for Dung’s family of 2 young children to use comfortably.
However, this creative father continues to design and implement a bunk bed system right on the car – something that has never been seen in motorhomes in Vietnam. This bed is raised and lowered by an electric lifting system. “The electric lifting rack system was imported from Italy by me for about 30 million VND. The bunk bed can hold 300-350kg. For families, parents can sleep on the bottom bed, the children on the top, very comfortable. comfortable,” said Dung.
The doors around the bed are fitted with insect-proof doors. The system of electrical outlets is installed around for homeowners to conveniently charge the device. In the near future, Mr. Dung will install a smart TV in this bedroom.
Another special feature of this car is the new generation air conditioning system. The air conditioner is not mounted on the ceiling as usual but mounted on the floor of the car, leading cold air from the bottom up by a pipe system.
“People often assume that a motorhome can only be used by a small family with 4-5 people. With the T – Love, I want to prove that it can be a convenient place for many people to live. people” said Dung.
Dung’s “mobile house” was completed after about 6 months of construction with a total cost of “customizing” the car is 700 – 800 million VND. With a passion for motorhomes, Mr. Dung also founded a forum group to create a playground for sharing and exchanging custom bikes for picnics.
Since having the first motorhome, Mr. Dung has often taken his children to travel. Almost every weekend, Hanoi’s father puts aside work to take his daughter on a picnic. One – two months, he took his children to explore the Northwest provinces.
