5) Notre Dame Cathedral

This is the building built by the French in the years 1886-1891 according to the design project of architect Villedieu and his assistant Foulhoux. 9) Turtle Lake

10) Ba Thien Hau pagoda
It is one of the oldest pagodas in Saigon, bearing the style of ancient Chinese temples. The pagoda worships Thien Hau Thanh Mau, so people often call it Thien Hau pagoda. Her pagoda was built in the 1760s by a group of Chinese people of Tue Thanh origin (ie Guangzhou) who immigrated to Vietnam. They wish that Mrs. Thien Hau would protect them and overcome the dangerous storms in the new land. This place also preserves hundreds of ancient artifacts dating from the late 18th to the early 20th century, including wooden statues, stone statues, stelae, bronze, matching, relief … the same meticulousness and sophistication.
