HO CHI MINH CITY – From the beginning of November, on both sides of Rung Sac road to Can Gio, reed flowers bloom, making visitors excited to stop and take pictures.

Can Gio be known as the “green oasis” or “green lung” of the city because of its green space and many trees? This is an inner-city tourist destination with many experiences from the forest to the sea close to nature. From the city center, visitors take the Binh Khanh ferry, go straight on Rung Sac road to Can Gio beach, the asphalt road is flat, the two sides of the road are green mangroves bringing a feeling of comfort and relaxation.

In addition to mangroves, the road is also associated with the beauty of bougainvillea flowers that bloom all year round in white, pink, orange, yellow, red… colorful all year round. In the last months of the year, this place is also adorned with the gentle light yellow color of cotton grass. The grass is inherently wild and slender, but when it grows in straight rows of kilometers, it is very beautiful and outstanding, especially on cool, sunny days.

Thanh Tran (25 years old), a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City who often goes to Can Gio on weekends, said that she had been to Can Gio many times before, but this was the first time she saw reed grass blooming on a road.

“I live in Binh Thanh district at the weekend and invite friends to Can Gio to enjoy the sea breeze, the suburbs don’t have much smoke and dust, so the fresh air is very nice. I was quite surprised when I went to see so many reeds this time. On this day, we should stop with you to take pictures as a souvenir. This grass looks wild, so it’s beautiful on the picture”, said Ms. Thanh, Rung Sac street is quite empty, the car is traveling at high speed, so she and her friend parked the car close to the curb to ensure safety.

The best time to take pictures with cotton grass is from 8am to 9.30am, and in the afternoon from 4pm onwards when the sun is less dazzling. In addition to reed grass, Can Gio also has many photo spots with other attractive plants such as mangrove forests on Lam Vien – Dong Dinh street, Luong Van Nho phoenix flower road that glows red every summer…
