From early morning, a busy stream of people flocked to Soai Chek – Ta Pa tourist sports area (Tri Ton district) located at the foot of Phung Hoang mountain. At 7:00 a.m., thousands of people were present at the festival ground, enjoying the atmosphere when the 200 m2 national flag was pulled up into the sky by balloons to celebrate National Day.

On the field, 16 hot air balloons were ready to fly, and 600 people formed a map of Vietnam.

Mr. Ha Quoc Viet, with 8 family members staying up from 4 am to move from Tan Chau town to the venue quite early, said: “On the occasion of the holiday, the family went to see the hot air balloon because they had never experienced it before. I found it quite funny and fancy,” he shared.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Loan Van, from Chau Phu district, said that she heard from her colleagues, so she went to the festival with her grandson this morning. “My grandmother and I rode motorbikes from 5am to avoid traffic jams. Take me and let me know,” she said.

According to the plan, two large hot air balloons (22 m high) are used for visitors to experience, of which one is fixed for visitors to take pictures. 14 level 1 hot air balloons hang at a height of 20-40 m around the ceremony ground for decoration. However, this morning due to high winds, the hot air balloons just hung in place, not allowing people to fly.

The large number of visitors also caused traffic jams at the intersections of the festival, which lasted about 3 km in the morning of the same day. This event will continue until September 3.
