Sunrise, sunset or high street view are the most voted moments in Agora’s Travel 2020 competition.

Agora is a mobile app with 3.5 million users, mostly professional and non-professional photographers. It is also the organizer of photography competitions with various themes that attract hundreds of thousands of participants each year.

The Tourism (#Travel2020) theme contest, which took place from July 24th to August 7th, received 13,685 photos. After a month of votes, the organizers found the top 50 best photos and awarded $1,000 to author Brian TR (Spain) for “The Magic Moment”. This first prize-winning photo captures the author and his companion, a pet dog watching the sunset in dolomites (Italy) through the door of the tent.

Here are some of the best photos from Agora’s top 50 best travel photos of 2020:

“Past, Present and Future” by Alvaro Valiente, a Spaniard, taken in Palawan, Philippines. He said he was too lucky to catch the moment an old man, a middle-aged man and his niece walked across the coast. The sunset reminds me of that moment.

“Khám phá hang băng” của Dan Rose người Anh chụp ở hang Eiskapelle, Berchtesgaden, Đức. Đây là hang băng nằm ở chân núi Watzmann (núi cao thứ 3 ở Đức). Eiskapelle cũng là hang trong sông băng dễ tiếp cận nhất ở nước này.

“The Milky Way” was taken at Great Staples Tor, Dartmoor National Park, Devon, England, by Liam Man. With Liam, travel photography is not only about setting foot in new places but also capturing images of those places in the best way possible. He uses exposure to create a light band in the photo while capturing the star-filled sky.

The photo “Freedom” was taken by Filipino author Jojo Deladia at the country’s Subic Bay International Airport.

The author said, it was a very beautiful dawn when I caught this image of the skydiving man. I ran right towards the subject to shoot while the person was still hovering above the top of the mountain, early morning light making the background great.

“Sometimes the best part of travel is the journey” by Hong Kong photographer Lee Mumford. A high-altitude shot of a train crossing a viaduct in Sri Lanka.

“Breathtaking Viewing Angle” is a work by Italian author Filippo Bellisola, photographed in Santana, Madeira, Portugal.

Filippo shared that it was his last day in Madeira, he and two friends hunted the last sunset of the journey. The weather is not very nice but the gloomy sky creates an interesting space.

Photo “Lake Motosuko” taken in Japan by German photographer Max Dreher. ‘The photo was a combination of me lying in a tent, my girlfriend sitting at a marshmallow grill by the bonfire. Tent doors are like a view of the lake, Mt. Fuji in the distance,” Max shared.

“Long Haul” by Russian photographer Andrei Pugach in Belarus.

“Driving on a solitary road before dawn” is a photo of Roland Schwarz taken in Iceland.

Photographer Carles Alonso’s “Adventures,” taken in Lerida, western Catalunya, Spain.

“The Ride Through the Winding Roads” is the work of Jenny, a German female photographer, shot in the Black Forest. The photo was taken on a chilly autumn morning during her trip to the Black Forest region.

Jenny said she was looking for some time to leave her busy, pressured job at the time. The spectacle of the sparkling sunrise made her suddenly realize that life is still very beautiful and so is the world. Looking at the peaceful scenery but the traffic running here quite a lot, Jenny spends a lot of time to catch the moment only a car passes the road.

Photo “Sky Excursions” by Pamela Plaza, a Mexican photographer, taken in Morocco. “The hot air balloon flying high over the Moroccan countryside made me dream of watching the sky with the magical colors that surround that space”.
