Zen Le is a nature lover with a special interest in the sea. She shared, even though she lives in the city, every time she goes to the beach, she feels like she is home. She kept the habit of self-swimming from a young age and practiced regularly to improve her swimming skills, so she was very confident in the water.

Sharing with VnExpress about his chance with freediving, Zen Le said: “In 2017, while traveling in the Philippines, I was taught some breathing skills and diving techniques by a local. When I got to see with my own eyes the shimmering beauty of coral under the sea with my own eyes, I began to fall in love with this breath-taking diving. Later, when I did my own research, I realized that this is a sport called is “free diving”, quite famous in the world, especially in coastal countries, but still new in Vietnam at that time. Since then, I have researched myself for information about training and techniques. , diving equipment on forums, make friends with foreign freedivers, have them share diving knowledge materials, instructions on safety techniques and skills, personal experiences”.

Describing the feeling of putting on propellers and jumping into the sea for the first time, Zen Le used the word “Cheer”. In Vietnam, in every beautiful sea season, the girl goes diving in Con Dao, Phu Quoc, Phu Quy, Nha Trang… Up to now, she is most impressed with Con Dao because the sea is beautiful and still retains many charms. wild. In foreign countries, Zen Le has the opportunity to dive mainly in the Philippines, Palawan region.

In the eyes of the girl, there are many interesting and mysterious things under the water. The ocean is a place where humans have not yet fully explored and understood. “Try once to step into the house of aquatic plants and animals. When you have the opportunity to see fish, turtles, jellyfish, octopus freely swimming in front of you, you will feel real. infatuation,” Zen Le expressed.

During his scuba diving journey, Zen Le received many unforgettable memories. That was when the girl was diving with many “old turtles” swimming slowly, so she could swim along to take pictures. Zen Le vividly remembers the excitement of witnessing the moment the dolphins jumped out of the water in Boracay, Philippines. In Vietnam, Zen Le was fortunate to have the opportunity to dive in a cave in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. “Under the underground river bed in the cave, there is a long stretch of white sand and many strangely shaped rocks, feeling very mysterious and impressive,” she shared.

Talking about the process of making her underwater photos, Zen Le shared that there is no specific person to follow her to take pictures. “All the people who dive in the same diving shift are photographers for each other. Almost in every sea, I have a few local friends who understand the terrain, currents, depth and diving ability very well, so Take a lot of good photos of yourself. Underwater photography is both difficult and easy. It’s hard because in order to have beautiful underwater poses, you have to be really relaxed and comfortable and have a good sense of your body. You don’t need makeup or complicated clothes to take a good photo. In addition, weather conditions are the most important. To take a good photo underwater you need blue sky without clouds, beautiful sunshine, water. clear, good visibility, no currents or light currents… Before each picture,

All of Zen Le’s scuba diving journeys are accompanied by a companion, because the first rule of freediving is “Never dive alone”. “I have a lot of diving friends in the community, but in order to choose a diver who really understands my abilities and can perform safety skills in the event of an incident, there is probably only one person. My diving partner is Mr. Tuan Nguyen, who has better diving skills and techniques than me, so I feel very secure when diving together”, Zen Le confided.

Sharing for those who want to learn about free diving, Zen Le said: “Free diving is classified as one of the dangerous sports. You need to learn knowledge as well as practice. Practice technique and safety skills with an expert before doing a real freediving. You need to be a good swimmer or really confident in the water, in case something goes wrong. If anything, it’s not only dangerous for yourself but also for your divers. So everyone who loves and wants to experience free diving, please sign up for courses at diving centers first.”

As a lover of the sea, Zen Le also urges visitors to protect the sea. She said: “If you have a chance to dive, please don’t touch anything in the sea. Everything underwater should only be seen. Please do not pick corals, collect turtle eggs, or buy or sell. If you want to take something back from the seabed as a souvenir, it should be plastic bags, straws, ghost nets, bottles, packaging… Please, everyone who cherish, protect and preserve our planet’s cradle of life, because, according to one quote:

“Without water there is no life”.
