From January 1, 2021, Quang Ninh will continue to apply ticket price exemption and reduction to attractions and accommodations in Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh Museum, relics and Yen Tu landscapes. The average discount is 50% and 100% for important holidays such as New Year, Lunar New Year, International Women’s Day (March 8), April 30, January 1, etc. The province continues to support bus tickets from Van Don International Airport to Ha Long, Doc Do (Uong Bi) and vice versa. These are forms of preferential discounts in the 500 billion VND stimulus package deployed by Quang Ninh province in 2021.
The granting and exemption of tickets to Ha Long Bay is chaired by the Halong Bay Management Board, in coordination with departments, branches and localities to implement. Promotions include a discount on cruise ship service discounts, full coverage for travelers and problems incurred.

Previously, Quang Ninh in turn performed 2 stimulus measures with 200 billion VND, 300 billion VND, bringing prosperity to provincial tourism. Statistics of the Department of Tourism show that the total number of tourists to the province in 2020 is estimated at 8.8 million, international visitors reach 536,000, domestic tourists are estimated to reach more than 8.3 million, up 0.6% compared to with 2019. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at over 17 trillion dong, down 30.5% over the same period.
The stimulus package worth 500 billion VND for 2021 continues to focus on the domestic market with the expectation of creating a “boost” for the provincial tourism industry. Target to welcome 10 million visitors, total tourism revenue will reach 20 trillion in the next year.
