THUA THIEN – HUE More than 10,000 people flocked to Ngo Mon Square to admire the shimmering symbol of the ancient capital in the night of light shows by artists from France.

At 8:00 p.m. on December 12, more than 10,000 Hue residents and tourists gathered at Ngo Mon Square to watch a performance of modern and traditional music combined with 3D lighting at Ngo Mon in “Hue by light – The live show” Organized by the French Embassy in Vietnam. This is the closing program of a series of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and France.

The Ngo Mon Gate and Ngu Phung Tower are shimmering with a light show (3D mapping) by talented French artists.

Artists from France and Vietnam also performed works combining modern music and traditional instruments.

The program is built around the theme “Four Seasons”, combining Art Nouveau with traditional Vietnamese lacquer art, minimalism with dragons and phoenixes or decorative arts (Art Deco) with Symbolic plants and trees in Vietnamese culture.

“Hue by light – The live show” is the result of more than a year of work by the crew to show light on the architectural surface of Ngo Mon gate – Hue Citadel.

Unique motifs are recreated on the Ngo Mon building and Ngu Phung pavilion through lighting effects.
