Tu Lan is a magnificent cave system surrounded by limestone mountains and tropical forests, creating a wild and peaceful scene. With the impressive beauty of the system of more than 10 different large and small caves, this place has been chosen as the filming location of many famous movies.

Because many members wanted to visit some places in Dong Hoi, the group departed one day in advance. The whole group took flight at 9pm from Tan Son Nhat (HCMC) to Dong Hoi airport (Quang Binh).

The next morning, the group visited some symbols of the city such as Dong Hoi market, the Mother Suot monument, Ho Chi Minh square.

After that, the group moved to Chay Lap Farmstay. Here, you can participate in many experiential activities. If you are adventurous, you can choose to kayak, paddle SUP or zipline. Cycling to explore the Chay river, Dark cave, check-in Phong Nha cave entrance… is another option for the members of the group.

In the afternoon, the group moved to Tan Hoa to prepare for the discovery of Tu Lan the next day.

The first day

After a night of sleeping in a tent, the group got up early to prepare and begin to experience conquering the Tu Lan cave system.

The journey begins with walking, trekking through corn and peanut fields. Along with the green grasslands, the members of the group continued to wade through the small stream.

The Secret Cave was the first cave that appeared before our eyes. The group rest, regains strength and continue the journey to Hung Ton cave.

The deeper you go, the more you feel like you are lost in a rock maze and immersed in layers of stalactites. I admire the stalactite blocks dating back hundreds of years in all shapes and sizes. Standing in front of giant stalactites sometimes sparkling with light, sometimes shimmering with golden light, you will be overwhelmed by the magnificent nature.

After exiting Hung Ton cave, the group returned to To To camp to have lunch and rest. The dishes served by the porter are quite delicious and appetizing.

In the afternoon, the group continued to climb to the top of the mountain to reach Song Oxalis cave. The route on the first day was mainly going through mountains and forests, getting used to the challenge.

After a long day of marching like a real expedition, the whole group was able to experience a waterfall bathing right next to the campsite. Thanks to the massaging waterfall, the members shake off all the dust and remove fatigue to enjoy dinner.

After dinner, everyone rested to prepare for the second day.

Monday

On the second day, the whole group participated in exploring 3 beautiful caves in the Tu Lan cave system including Kim cave, Tu Lan cave, and Ken cave. After refueling for breakfast, the group departs by crossing a stream to swim into Kim cave. I think this is the most beautiful cave in this discovery tour. When swimming, you should be careful because there are reefs underneath.

Swimming in, following the cliffs, the group continued to Tu Lan cave. Tu Lan attracted the delegation with the grandeur of the ceiling, the transformation of stalactites from terraced fields to mysterious jade beaches.

Back to the campsite, the group had lunch and rest to continue the challenge of conquering Ken cave in the afternoon.

At the end of a long day, the group took time to bathe and relax.

The third day

On the last day, a couple in the group held a marriage proposal right in the cave. Immersed in the maze of limestone, stalactites, sand and water, the scene becomes even more romantic.

After that, the group quickly packed up their belongings and moved down the mountain to return to Tan Hoa. By noon, the group was at the starting point and ending the journey.

3 days of living separate from modern life and the experiences gained from the journey are memorable memories for the members of the group.
