Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Dong Van

Bus Hanoi – Ha Giang departs in many timeframes every day, ticket price 200,000 VND per person. If there is a schedule for the weekends, guests should book tickets in advance. Night ride at 20h30 – 21h30 helps save time, about 4am the car will arrive in the city.

The bus will stop at the station for a few hours, allowing passengers to rest before morning. Here, you can easily find motorbike rental spots, with a rental price of about 150,000 VND / day. The vehicles are usually equipped with papers, insurance, ligaments and maps.

In the city, there are many breakfast dishes such as pho, vermicelli, but the most suitable is probably rolls. In the cold weather, a serving of warm bone broth, served with rolls, costs 20,000 VND to help you fill your stomach. At 8:00, you depart for Dong Van along the 4C Highway when it is clear, there are many stops on the road to check-in.

On the way to Yen Minh town, you will reach Can Ty bridge. There are 2 turns here, one 22 km of the road is quite steep but can see the scenery from above, there are lonely trees to check-in. The other way is 41 km long, the road is easier to go, through the peaceful pine forest. You can calculate the time and choose the right route to have lunch in Yen Minh.

About 45 km from Yen Minh town to Dong Van, this is a route with beautiful scenery and famous tourist attractions such as Doc Tham Ma, Pao’s House, Meo King Palace … The above points are about 10 km apart. Pass road, so when visiting, you need to pay attention to the time to reach Dong Van before dark, because there are no street lights and low temperatures.

Day 2: Dong Van – Meo Vac

Around 6:30, you move from Dong Van to Lung Cu to visit the flagpole. This distance is 25 km long, has to go through many bad sections with crushed rocks, steep crabs, potholes, … Travel time is about 1 and a half hours. Arriving, visitors hike to the flagpole and see the mountains and forests where the country is located. If you want to relax a little early in the morning, the Arctic Coffee Shop is also an option to rest.

Around 9:30, you move back to the old road to Dong Van, then follow the direction Meo Vac to Nho Que River. The motorbike road going down the boat station is very steep, some places are under construction, so it is necessary to have a hard drive. If you are not confident, you can hire a local motorbike taxi service for 150,000 VND two-way.

The road is difficult to go, many sections are bumpy, but the beauty of the emerald green river will partly dispel the fatigue of visitors. Walking through the winding road embracing the cliffs, you will come to the marina. The price of a boat ride on Nho Que River is 100,000 VND per person, the journey is about 40 minutes long. The boat usually stops in front of Tu San Alley, where there is the best view for guests to take pictures.

Around 14:30, you move towards Meo Vac to visit Ma Pi Leng Pass. The pass is winding but wide and flat, one side is the mountain, the other is the cliff. Surrounding the pass are sky, clouds and mountains so visitors can leisurely admire the scenery and take pictures. At the foot of the pass, you visit the Museum of Happiness Street, learn about the difficult construction history of the 4C Highway, from Ha Giang city to Dong Van, Meo Vac. Around 17:00, you can stop at the landmark area 12 km to Meo Vac. This place is one of the beautiful spots to watch the sunset on Ma Pi Leng Pass, with the front view is Nho Que River.

Day 3: Meo Vac – Ha Giang City – Hanoi

In Pa Vi, the scene has peaceful colors, when visitors wake up, they will find surrounded by green and green mountains. Meo Vac is about 150 km from Ha Giang, you should depart early to catch the bus return to Hanoi. There are two bus time frames for you to choose from: 14h (return to Hanoi at 9pm) and 9pm (return to Hanoi at 4am the next morning).

If you choose 14h, you should depart from 8am at Meo Vac and run straight in the direction of Mau Due – Yen Minh – Quan Ba ​​- City. Ha Giang, do not stop visiting. Note that the road from Meo Vac to Mau Due is quite bad, with many potholes and elephant nests.

If you choose the bus departing 21h from Ha Giang city, you have time to visit some more points. You go on Mau Due street – Duong Thuong, then visit Lung Tam Textile Village, pass Quan Ba, visit Lung Tuy cave. Then move on to TP. Ha Giang.

About moving, because you are on the pass, you should pay attention not to run out of gas. On the way of moving, there are only gas stations at points like TP. Ha Giang, Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van, Meo Vac, and Mau Due.
