TUYEN QUANG – The beauties in traditional costumes of many ethnic groups participate in the greening of 5.3 hectares of bare land in Lam Binh – Na Hang ecological lake.

On January 8, 9 beauties of the Vietnam Tourism Flower Competition 2020 came to plant trees in the ecological lake of the Na Hang – Lam Binh nature reserve. 2,700 seedlings were planted, including 1,700 pine trees, 500 teak trees and 500 coconut trees. It is estimated that about 5.3 ha of bare land in Khuoi Nhi – Na Phuong waterfall area and Cu Vai area (Thuong Lam commune), Khuon Phay and Na Nam area (Phuc Yen commune) will be covered with green. Planting scale is 500 trees / ha.

The representatives participating in the tree planting activities are Asia Hui 1, Asia Hui 2 and the beauties in the top 5, top 10 and top 30 of the contest. Bui Minh Anh, A Hui 1 shared: “I was born and raised in Dak Nong so planting trees is a familiar job. This time coming to Lam Binh, a remote district, the weather is very cold, so planting is also more difficult. I hope I can spread the message of forest protection and green tourism to everyone “.

In addition to the flowers, the afforestation project also has the support of the Protection Forest Management Board, Youth Union, leaders of Lam Binh district and local people.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hien, Vice Chairman of Lam Binh District, said: “The district always puts forest management and protection as the key task. We have increased the forest coverage rate from 73% in 2011 to over 78. % in 2020. This activity of the maidservants helps the district continue to green bare land in the protection forest area, towards the goal of ever greener Lam Binh. In addition, tree planting also helps prevent natural disasters. landslides, ensuring safety for people and visitors “.

He also affirmed that afforestation will help protect forest ecosystems and create green landscapes. This is the premise for sustainable tourism development, creating jobs for people, from which socio-economic development in the district.

The event is a community activity after the beauty contest Vietnam Tourism 2020 titled “Sound of the Earth – Sound Of The Earth”. The theme is meant to promote tourism heritage and protect the green environment, promote Vietnam as a safe destination after Covid-19. Representatives of the Organizing Committee said that they will monitor and update regularly on the plantation forest situation in Lam Binh district, and implement similar projects in other localities.
