4 places to watch the beautiful sunset in HCMC

Booking.com

Ho Chi Minh City diners can fully enjoy the beautiful sunset at the 4 coffee spaces below.

Enjoying the sunset, looking for a peaceful time after work is an experience worth trying in HCMC. Coffee and beer shops located on a high floor, close to the river are loved for their beautiful and quiet views.

Wildest Dreams

Address : Le Van Duyet, Binh Thanh

Opening hours : 14-22:30

I stumbled upon Wildest Dreams while surfing social media. The first impression through the photo is probably the small space, surrounded by large glass windows, full of light, gentle and poetic Korean-style decor.

Recently, the shop changed the time frame, only opening in the afternoon from 14:00 to 22:30. The shop has an indoor space and a balcony – an area to enjoy the sunset – more sparkling at night thanks to many sparkling lights.

The shop is located on the 7th floor of an apartment building on Le Van Duyet street, Binh Thanh district (formerly Dinh Tien Hoang). I park the car in the basement then press the elevator to the 6th floor. From here, diners climb to the terrace.

Indeed, this space is quiet and gentle as I expected.

The menu is quite diverse including tea, coffee, soda… priced at 40,000-60,000 VND/cup. On the first visit, I chose a cup of lychee tea, the taste was not bitterly sweet or bitter, and my companion rated the cocoa with fat, moderate sweetness and aroma. In general, drinks are served in glasses and glass straws, beautifully decorated, and reasonably priced.

Phen’s Coffee

Address : Nguyen Van Cong, Go Vap

Opening hours : 7-22 pm

Between luxury, modern and vintage, classic cafes, Phen’s Coffee owns a different space with a direct view of Tan Son Nhat airport. The plane lands on average every 15 minutes, from this angle, you can easily capture your eyes and take pictures of this moment.

The shop has 3 floors, a small area but not secret. You can choose to sit indoors or a row of outdoor wooden tables. If the inside is quite quiet, equipped with air conditioning, suitable for working and studying, the “chill” balcony area is literally in the middle of the green lawn, easy to admire the color of the sky at sunset.

The shop serves coffee, macchiato, crushed ice, and smoothies, with prices ranging from 40,000-50,000 VND/dish. Many people commented that the staff is cute, when it is crowded, the service is slow but welcoming.

On Nguyen Van Cong street, there are many places where guests can easily admire the sunset and planes, such as Landing – Milk Tea & Coffee, Heli Hub Rooftop.

The Interns Café – Saigon

Address : Street 51, Thao Dien, Thu Duc City

Opening hours : 16h30-23h

Located next to the Saigon River, Le Café des Stagiaires offers a truly relaxing space. Coming here in the late afternoon, I chose to sit on the windy rooftop, enjoy a glass of cool water and watch the sunset sky.

At night, this space becomes busier and busier. Many people come to join the party, exciting music. The restaurant organizes quite a few events to stir the atmosphere.

The menu is mainly snacks and light drinks before meals. Appetizer drinks include beer, cocktails, wine… You can choose to add side dishes such as pizza, cold cut, fried chicken, steak… prices vary from a few tens of thousands of VND to hundreds of thousands of VND/piece. .

If you can’t drink alcoholic beverages, you should try coffee, mocktail… priced at 40,000-100,000 VND/glass.

1991 Rooftop Coffee & More

Address : Dinh Cong Trang, District 1

Opening hours : 16h30-23h

1991 Rooftop Coffee & More located in the city center is another suggestion that you can refer to. Not as vibrant as Le Café des Stagiaires, nor as poetic as Wildest Dreams, the address overlooking Tan Dinh church, soft acoustic tunes on Thursdays and Saturdays every week.

Many diners commented that the space here resembles Da Lat due to the rustic wooden furniture, green trees and sparkling electric lights.

At weekends or acoustic music nights, this address is quite crowded, even running out of seats early, you should consider if you like the quiet. In addition, the restaurant surcharges 30,000 VND/person on music nights.

Besides coffee, tea, beer, the menu also has many snacks, suitable as a gathering place for friends. I tried the butterfly pea flower tea, the taste is cool, not too sweet.
