Review wandering West Yen Tu - Bac Giang by car

We came from Hanoi, intended to ride a motorbike, but we changed our car until the close of the day and I found the decision to go by car very wisely because the road was not nearly as I imagined, in addition, the road to the West Yen Tu Duong is small but has many large cars that are very dangerous.

Preparation: We buy some food with water first at home and bring it. If I go next time, I will learn from experience to go there to buy because going there is mainly inconvenient to climb mountains. Next is to bring money and the spirit to prepare for climbing. As for the outfit, I should wear soft shoes because it is misty on the mountain and the road is a bit slippery.

Weather: We went to Bac Giang and saw how the two of us prayed to God for Buddha’s prayers, but the weather cleared up. When I got to Yen Tu, it was neither sunny nor raining, cool

Move: In the morning, we grabbed the bus to My Dinh bus station. Out there, there will be a series of car assistants asking where you go. And my job just needs to ask for a car to Bac Giang, then ngta will show the parked car, get in the car and sit upright, trying not to choose the last seat of the squirrel that wants to vomit like I am. (Ticket 60k) we told the driver to return to BigC Bac Giang.

The car will drop you at bigC then you move to the opposite side of bigC waiting for bus 07 to Tay Yen Tu, the ticket price is 55k back to the temple gate. One thing is that waiting for the bus does not need to stand at the right point, so you do not need to go looking for a pick up point. Just stand on the sidewalk and wait for the green 07 car to approach, then wave.

It is nearly 70km from BigC Bac Giang to West Yen Tu, so just get in the car and get some sleep. This road has many big trucks, so you should ride a motorcycle carefully and slowly. The bus will take you to the gate of the pagoda, which is also the end of the turn, so when you return, go to this point to catch the bus back to Bac Giang.

Near the temple gate, we enter the Square inside which has a gallery of art galleries, some antiques and Buddhist documents are also quite interesting. Going for a tour, I went out to buy a tram ticket to go to the lower pagoda above. 10k 1 super cheap round-trip ticket. Up there, we burned incense and took a photo, then walked to the cable car station to get to Yen Tu nearby.

We intend to walk up to Yen Tu in the true sense of pilgrimage. But the truth is not like a dream because the Yen Tu trek from Bac Giang is not like in Quang Ninh. The main road is a fast walking trail that takes about 3 hours and more importantly, we can’t see anyone walk, so with the bravery of the two girls, we also crept, didn’t dare to go, so we took the cable car. The ticket is 260k / 1 round trip ticket, it only takes about 10 minutes to reach the station above. Going there, you should buy sticks to easily climb the mountain, it is dewy and cold to go up, but walking for a while will feel hot so you should just wear thin clothes. A hat is better than wet hair. There are many stops up there selling water and food so don’t worry. On the way to Dong Pagoda, there was also Thuong pagoda, we went to burn incense and then continued to climb a quite long distance.

So that is the end of West Yen Tu. Climb down and take the cable car back to the station. We went downstairs and waited for the car to return to Bac Giang and then back to Hanoi. On bus 07, you just tell your child to get off the bus to take the bus back to Hanoi and they will show you. Luckily, we just got off the bus and got the car without waiting.

For those of you who want to go sightseeing, I think this is a place so you should avoid the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. As for those who mainly go to the Buddha worshiping ceremony, you probably know “Hundred years of accumulating virtuous practice, not yet successful in Yen Tu” so this is a place worth going if you do not have time. We went from HN starting at 5:30, then arrived at 8am.
