Sea of clouds on top of Phuong Hoang

QUANG NINH – These days, on Phuong Hoang peak, Uong Bi city, a sea of clouds appears, attracting many people to sightsee and camp.

Phuong Hoang Hill, also known as Ba Storey Mountain, is located in 12 Khe village, Bac Son ward, city. Uong Bi, Quang Ninh, about 40 km from Ha Long center. Phoenix Peak is nearly 500 m above sea level.

This area has many mountains, undulating hills, fresh air, and romantic scenery.

These days, early in the morning, the Phoenix hill area appears a beautiful sea of clouds, dim in the dawn light.

From 3 a.m., clouds began to creep through small valleys and then flood the hills.

According to people in the area, the sea of clouds only appears in the fall, after days of prolonged rain, accompanied by cold air that causes water vapor to condense.

The view from Phuong Hoang hill is wild and beautiful, similar to famous check-in locations in the Northwest.

Tran Dat, a photographer from Hai Phong, spent the night at Phuong Hoang Hill to have the opportunity to watch the clouds at dawn.

“Wake up in the cool natural scenery, watching the sea of clouds, majestic mountains and hills, an experience worth trying in your life,” Mr. Dat said.

Like Mr. Dat, many people camp overnight at Phuong Hoang Hill.

If you are afraid to bring your belongings, you can rent tents, tables and chairs here for 200,000 VND to 400,000 VND per day and night. Food is also served with prices ranging from 200,000 VND to 300,000 VND per person.

Phoenix Hill is also in the burning grass season (from October to January next year), the green color is gradually replaced by yellow brown.

Visitors can ride motorbikes or cars to the top of the hill. The distance is about one kilometer but has a high slope and is difficult to go. Motorbike taxis are available here for 50,000 VND per person per trip.
