De Gi salt field (Phu Cat, Binh Dinh) is like a colorful palette in the afternoon sunlight when viewed from above.
De Gi salt field located in Cat Minh commune, Phu Cat district is one of the largest salt fields in Binh Dinh province. There are two roads to go from Quy Nhon city to here. Visitors can move along Highway 1A to the intersection of Com market (Cat Hanh commune, Phu Cat district) and then turn right about 20 km to get to De Gi. Another way is to drive along the coastal road of Nhon Hoi about 54 km.This is a locality famous for its long-standing salt making profession. Spread over an area of tens of hectares is a salt field with rectangles lined up in a straight line. Each plot has an area of about 100 m2, for every 5 cells of water there is one salt box.At different times of the day, visitors can feel the beauty of the salt fields from different angles. Each white floating salt mound floating in the space is the inspiration that photographers seek.Seen from above, the salt field is like a color palette, striking between the blue of the sky and the sea.The more sunny it is, the faster the salt is shaped. In the field with scorching sunlight, without a shadow of trees, the salt people still work hard, diligently scraping salt, carrying salt, and piling it into mounds, high and low. Although it was hard work, the beauty of the worker seemed to shine in every grain of white salt.During the journey to visit salt fields, visitors can experience many tourist activities such as diving and watching coral, rowing in De Gi beach which is not far away. Although not a popular destination in Binh Dinh, tourism has begun to develop in De Gi as visitors love new destinations.
