Ho Chi Minh City is not a place for people who want to go on a diet because of its delicious food, and Hanoi is the best in Asia, according to Australian tourists.

Ronan O’Connell, a tourist from Perth, Australia, has been to Vietnam 14 times. The last time was in March of this year when he traveled from south to north, visiting Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Hoi An, Da Nang and Hanoi . He describes all five destinations as “full of energy”.

“This country with a population of 100 million is growing at a breakneck pace that few places can match,” O’Connell said. After the epidemic, Vietnam is still vibrant and cities are increasingly modernizing. The excitement of cities makes male travelers “pleasantly exhausted” when participating in experiences in this place.

Ho Chi Minh City , the largest destination in the south of the country, O’Connell reminded this is not a place for dieters because “the food is everywhere”. Every day in Ho Chi Minh City, visitors feel like they are lost in a feast of taste when they see a restaurant selling grilled ribs on the left, a bakery on the right, and a cart selling pancakes on the opposite side. Chinatown, Lon Market, Notre Dame Cathedral , Central Post Office are the favorite destinations of male tourists.

The capital Hanoi is considered as “the best city in Asia” thanks to the harmonious blend of modern and ancient beauty of a destination with thousands of years of history. “With $200 a day in Hanoi, you can stay at a five-star hotel, eat three delicious meals, take a taxi around the city and visit many famous attractions,” said O’Connell.

If you want to have the same experience as in Singapore, Hong Kong or Tokyo, the amount of money visitors have to spend up to 500 USD. Temple of Literature, Quan Su Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Vietnam Military History Museum , Vietnam Museum of Ethnology and National Fine Arts are the destinations O’Conenell enjoys visiting when coming to the capital.

Hoi An riverside old town is considered a unique destination, “rarely found anywhere in Southeast Asia” and very “photogenic”, especially in the evening when “sunlight gives way to full light”. the color of thousands of paper lanterns”. Paper lanterns in Hoi An are rated by male tourists as “great souvenirs”.

If comparing the heritage destination with picturesque location and architecture according to O’ Connell, only Luang Prabang (Laos) can be compared with Hoi An in the area.

Da Nang is “the most family-friendly city in Southeast Asia, after Singapore”. In addition, Da Nang impresses with its modern, organized, clean, peaceful, low traffic and “surrounded by the splendor of nature”. O’Connell visited the cathedral, Cham Sculpture museum, shopping center and Apec park and attractive beaches.

While most Vietnamese cities are modern and forward-looking, Hue is still associated with its quiet character and heritage buildings. The Imperial Citadel of Hue was described by male tourists as “one of the most beautiful citadel in Asia”. Dong Ba Market, Thien Mu Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Hai Ba Trung Food Street, Tomb of Tu Duc are the favorite destinations of male Australian tourists.

In addition, with the experience of 14 times who have been to Vietnam, O’Connell encourages people to combine visits to busy places and peaceful destinations to balance the trip emotionally and physically. After arriving at a busy spot, tourists will again visit a place in the suburbs.

Leaving Hanoi, he went to Sapa. From Ho Chi Minh City, he went to Can Tho to go to the floating market. Ending the trip to visit Hue city with temples and mausoleums, O’Connell stopped at Lang Co. Leaving Da Nang, male tourists visit Ba Na Hills to relax and My Son Sanctuary is the next destination after arriving in Hoi An.

“I combine excursions between the vibrant and peaceful places of Vietnam, drifting along the rivers, napping on the fine sand beaches, walking at the peaceful mountain trails, playing at the golf courses. good and wandering in the jungle, discovering historical ruins,” said the male tourist.
