With the desire to bring his youth and enthusiasm to difficult lands, Mr. Tan left his hometown in Nua town, Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa, bringing his dreams and ambitions to the “promised land”.

“When they learned that I intended to start a business in a difficult land, everyone in my family was determined to stop me. With experience in animal husbandry and economics, I was assigned to hold the position of Deputy Captain of the Youth Volunteer Team. service to guide union members and young people to reclaim land and develop the economy by implementing models,” Mr. Tan confided.

According to Mr. Tan, the Youth Village project was implemented and attracted more than 140 union members and young people to participate, but now there are only 80 households left. Many union members and young people could not stand the “heat” and had to leave the village, leaving their dream of getting rich unfinished.

Many times Mr. Tan also felt discouraged, but with his wife’s encouragement, he was determined to stay, quietly with a strong desire and belief to turn the desolate land into prosperity.

Having gone through many hardships, Mr. Tan is the only one who has succeeded and has a stable income thanks to choosing his “own path”. Mr. Tan said that he realized that households in the area growing acacia, cassava, and squash were not effective, so he chose to do a model of animal husbandry combined with growing fruit trees.

With 20 hectares of land assigned to him, he began building 4 chicken coops and clearing hills to plant Dien mango and grapefruit. “Each year, the farm raises 2 batches of Chinese Chip chickens with a quantity of more than 20,000 chickens per batch. They are all roosters, with bright red combs, golden legs, fragrant and delicious meat, and are popular during holidays and Tet, so it is very popular. expensive,” Mr. Tan said.

Sharing about his experience raising chickens, Mr. Tan said, the breed must be good and have a clear origin. The farming process must be vaccinated from the beginning. A Chinese Chip chicken from being raised to being sold lasts more than 4 months, weighing about 3kg.

In addition, the barn is always airy and clean. At the barn, Mr. Tan uses biological bedding and periodically sprays disinfectant to ensure a living environment for the chickens. Waste sources are also strictly controlled from the process of discharge, collection, to packaging and reuse for growing fruit trees.

According to Mr. Tan, this year the weather is favorable, more than 5,000 mango roots after 3 years of planting and care have produced the first fruits, in addition, on the farm there are more than 1,000 Dien grapefruit roots in harvest.

“This year’s grapefruit ripened at the right time, the fruit was even and the yield was higher than every year. From the end of the 10th lunar month, traders from everywhere came to buy, it is expected that the harvest will be completed by the Lunar New Year, estimated at about 1 year. tons of fruit in this season,” the orchard owner said.

In addition to the success of the chicken raising model combined with growing fruit trees, Mr. Tan’s family created stable jobs for 2 workers, with a salary of 7 million VND/month and 16 seasonal workers with a salary of 200,000 VND/month. day.

Mr. Le Van Tuyen, Chairman of Xuan Hoa Commune People’s Committee, said that Mr. Tan is the only person in the Youth Village who has succeeded with the economic development model of raising chickens, combined with growing fruit trees.
